PnR Solar Store Celebrates 2 Years of Business
Vernon, CT (PRWEB) June 16, 2008 -- PnR Solar Store has completed its sophomore year of business, marking two successful years of online commerce. "We wanted to find something that helps out other people," says Pennie Hill, who owns and operates www.PNRSolarStore.com with her husband, Richard. "When we realized how great solar products are, we felt that was a good fit; it was something we felt comfortable with, where we could give something back."
For two years PnR Solar Store has been giving back, offering unique energy-saving wares to the online shopping public. "First we had to find people that distribute solar products, and we had to go through what they had to offer," says Richard. "We're always looking for new distributors, because we'd like to be 'all-solar' in our store. We want to make sure that everything we put on our web site is something people would actually use."
The mandate to provide quality "green" products has served to guide PnR Solar Store for the last two years, and has been the focus of the business. "We care a lot about the planet and like to help people save money," says Pennie.
"I'm a Scout Leader for Cub Scouts, and we're always teaching that you should leave the planet cleaner than you find it when you go camping," she adds. "We look out for the environment, and that's why we chose solar items."
The Hills have recently launched a blog at www.PNRSolarStoreBlog.com to help customers learn more about their products and their store. "We're hoping to use our blog to communicate more with our customers," says Pennie. "We want to put up things our customers can actually use, like how best to use the garden lights, or how to save energy with solar items. When we get our hands on the larger solar panels and items, our customers will be ready to use them."
In the coming year, PnR Solar Store looks to expand to larger solar panels for homes, as well as offering products to larger businesses for items such as solar street lights. Their most recent additions include a solar mole chaser, which emits an ultrasound burst every 30 seconds but is safe for pets due to its underground placement.
