Local Architect Featured in Pacific Coast Business Times

Santa Barbara, CA (PRWEB) June 14, 2008 -- J. Michael Holliday is featured in the March 7, 2008 edition of the Pacific Coast Business Times' "Who's Who in Construction." The Pacific Coast Business Times is the weekly business journal for Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.

J. Michael Holliday, principal architect for J.M. Holliday Associates, an architecture, interior design and planning firm in Santa Barbara, has been active for more than 18 years in the Santa Barbara area. The article notes that he worked previously with Design ARC and "helped the Santa Barbara-based firm establish itself in Los Angeles."

The "Who's Who in Construction" article makes mention of several projects in which Holliday is currently involved. These include interior design work for Santa Barbara restaurant, Esau's Café, and a co-project with the City of Los Angeles and their CRA redevelopment agency. "Bethany Square" is a $100 million project that will include "161 workforce housing units, a child care facility and a large workforce housing rental program." Holliday is also working on a $10 million project in Costa Rica. Called La Montana, it is a 650 acre Christian environmental camp.

Listing Holliday's affiliations, the Pacific Coasts Business Times notes that he is a member of The National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Santa Barbara County Economic Task Force, the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce , the Santa Barbara Mayor's Business Council and the Santa Maria Economic Development Association. Additionally, Holliday served as the president of the Santa Barbara chapter of the American Institute of Architecture. In 2001, Holliday was recognized as a California Businessman of the Year by the U.S. House of Representatives.
